The Playing of the game of Ultimate constitutes only a part, albeit a large one, of the focus of the HoosierMama?s. Our team goes beyond the simple concept of athletic individuals working together to win ultimate games.

We are first and foremost a family, dedicated to our sport, our way of life, and each other. More important than winning is the desire to have fun, respect our opponents, play good Ultimate, and enjoy the company of our teammates before, during, and after each game. Although the HoosierMama?s are based in Bloomington, IN, we hope to spread our brand of Ultimate to all parts of the country through the example of our play, our Alumni, and contact each of us have with others in the Ultimate community.

Mama?s take their responsibilities seriously and work hard, sometimes in adverse conditions, to never lose touch with the way of Ultimate learned in Bloomington. Our goal, most prominent at the college level, is to demonstrate competitive-caliber Ultimate without resorting to institutionalization, elitism, or coercion, in the hopes that others will take heart from our example and see that it is possible to play good Ultimate and still be true to the Spirit of the Game.
