OneStart Portal Project
OneStart is a Web portal application presenting a single front door to online services at Indiana University. Through OneStart, students can register for classes, view their transcripts, search the library, view job postings, and access IU Webmail. Faculty and staff members can use OneStart to access their e-mail and calendars, view institutional reports, and purchase parking stickers. OneStart provides easier and more direct access to the multitude of services available to students, faculty, and staff at Indiana University.

OneStart seeks to make IU services as accessible, effective, and comprehensive as possible. The User Experience Group assists in this goal by developing a user-centered environment for maintaining improvements to the portal. Some of the areas of OneStart on which we have been working include accessibility enhancements, user testing, information architecture and the development of Web publishing standards.

Indiana University Foundation
The Indiana University Foundation (IUF) is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to maximizing private resources for Indiana University (IU). UXG has been working together with IUF to integrate their services and information in IU's OneStart portal.

Kuali
The Kuali organization is working to create comprehensive administrative software that meets the needs of all Carnegie Class institutions.  Its members are colleges, universities, and interested organizations that share a common vision of open, modular, and distributed systems for their software requirements.  The goal of Kuali is to bring the proven functionality of legacy applications to the ease and universality of online services. UXG has been contributing to the project with interface design and usability evaluation.
