Shows performed by VIDA on-stage

VIDA has put on three shows to date at the John Waldron Arts Center. This year, we will be performing at a new venue. Each show consists of three one-act plays by different authors from different time periods that are grouped under a single unifying theme, conveyed by the title of each performance. Juegos (November, 2009)

• A White Butterfly (Una mariposa blanca) by Gabriela Roepke (Chile, 1957)
• The Voucher (Resguardo personal) by Paloma Pedrero (Spain, 1985)
• The Olives (Las aceitunas) by Lope de Rueda (Spain, 1510-1565)

Identidades (November, 2008)
Each of the one acts in the series focuses on different aspects of human identity. Loosely translated the titles are:

• The Tableau of Wonders (El retablo de las maravillas) by Miguel de Cervantes (Spain, 1615)
• A Study in Black and White (Estudio en blanco y negro) by Virgilio Piñera (Cuba, 1969)
• The New Tamaleras (Las nuevas tamaleras) by Alicia Mena (United States, 1990)

• The Love of Don Perimplín with Belisa in the Garden (Amor de don Perimplín con Belisa en su jardín) by Federico García Lorca
