
Andrew, originally from Auburn, IN, is a junior majoring in Biology. A member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity bike team, he competed in his second Little 500 bike race last April. For the 2009-2010 school year, he served as the Outreach Committee Director for the Timmy Foundation Club at IU. Also, Andrew works as a student manager at the IU Auditorium.
Andrea is a junior from Columbus, OH majoring in human biology and a member of the Kelley School of Business Consulting Workshop. She also serves as the Virtu Project webmaster. Andrea is an avid triathlete and two-year Little 500 rider. In the future, she plans to fuse her passions for medicine, food, and entrepreneurship.
Daniel is a sophomore economics and philosophy major from Zionsville, IN. He is a new member of the Virtu program, and joined with the hopes of learning more about investing and helping the Timmy Foundation. In his freetime he enjoys running and snowboarding. In the future, he hopes to pursue a career in business.
Derek is a sophomore double majoring in economics and mathematics from Muncie, IN. In his spare time, he enjoys running, reading, and experimenting with computer programming and web design. In the future, he hopes to go into actuarial or technology consulting.
Brynne is a junior from Union, KY majoring in biology and neuroscience. Outside of the Virtu Project she is apart of the LAMP Student Advisory Board, a Campus Tour Guide, and Honors Student Organization. Over spring break she will travel to Guatemala with the Timmy Foundation. In the future Brynne hopes to pursue a career in general pediatric surgery and be an advocate for public health initiatives.
Sam is a junior from Carmel, IN. He is majoring in neuroscience and plans to attend graduate school to study business. He is also involved in the LAMP Student Advisory Board and has had two wonderful summer internships at Roche Diagnostics. His hobbies include Ultimate Frisbee, swimming, and reading.
Chris is a junior from Carmel, IN majoring in biology. He is a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and enjoys skiing, hiking, and most of all, eating. Chris plans to attend medical school and pursue a career in orthopedics. He joined the Virtu Project to learn and help make an impact on the program.
Alexandra is a biology and French major from Arlington Heights, IL. She is a new member to Virtu, hoping to learn more about the stock market and investing. Among many other activities, Alexandra is a member of the IU Women's Ultimate Frisbee team. In the future she hopes to pursue grad school in a field related to genetics.
Neil, born and raised in Munster, IN, is a junior studying economics and chemistry. He is a member of a north Indian dance team as well as the registration chair of a dance competition annually held at the IU auditorium. Neil enjoys skiing, making videos, and playing basketball. In the future, he hopes to run his own dental practice, as well as invest in the stock market.
Joe is a junior chemistry major and economics minor from Crown Point, IN. He is a new member of Virtu, hoping to learn more about investing and helping a great cause. In his free time Joe is a volunteer at Fairview Elementary School and enjoys playing all sports and participating in outdoor activities.
Hasan is a junior biology major at Indiana University. Over the past year, he has been actively involved in the IU Student Global AIDS (SGAC) and the IU Timmy Foundation. Over the summer of 2009, Hasan was an research intern at the Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis. Hasan will be traveling to Guatemala with the Timmy Foundation medical brigade over spring break 2010.
Sukriti Bansal is a sophomore biochemistry major and health systems administration minor from Zionsville, IN. She currently serves as the Director of Advocacy and Education for the IU Timmy Foundation college chapter. She is also a member of the SAB and an undergraduate researcher in an oncology and genetics lab. She hopes to pursue a career as a physician fusing medicine, research, and international service.
Ryan is a sophomore from Indianapolis, IN majoring in biochemistry. He is a member of the Alpha Chi Sigma Chemistry Fraternity and is an undergraduate researcher in electrochemistry. This past summer, Ryan backpacked through Europe and studied Spanish for six weeks in Salamanca, Spain. Ryan enjoys skiing, playing tennis, traveling, and reading non-fiction.
Tim is a sophomore biotechnology major from Fishers, IN. He is a new member in Virtu looking to learn investment skills. He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and Indiana University Dance Marathon. He enjoys traveling and playing rugby in his free time. He is planning on pursuing a career as a physician.
Sonia is a sophomore biology major from Valparaiso, IN. Sonia is a member of the LAMP Student Advisory Board, OVPUE Student Advisory Board, and will be traveling to Honduras in March with the IU Global Medical Brigades. Sonia studied abroad in Florence last summer and discovered a passion for traveling. Accordingly, she hopes to study in Australia in the future.
Erik is a sophomore from Indianapolis. He is studying economics, English and mathematics, and works on campus for the Economics Department. Erik joined the Virtu Project to develop investment technique and gain practical experience in investing while making a solid contribution to the Timmy Foundation. He plans to attend law school after graduation from IU.
Matthew is a sophomore at Indiana University from LaPorte, IN. He is majoring in economics and minoring in Spanish. Matthew works for recsports and enjoys playing intramurals. He has joined the Virtu project with the hopes of learning about ethical investing in equity markets.
Nicholas, a native of South Bend, IN, is an IU sophomore majoring in history and minoring in Spanish and political science/economics. Nick is a Cox Research Scholar and enjoys being a part of the LAMP Student Advisory Board and the Indiana University Student Foreign Policy Initiative. A new member to Virtu, Nick hopes to gain a better understanding of the stock market and the skills necessary for sound investing.
Grant is a sophomore biology major from Munster, IN. He is a member of the LAMP Student Advisory Board, the Business of Life Sciences Club, IUSA, and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He joined the Virtu Project to gain knowledge of investing and global market interactions. He hopes to pursue a career that combines medicine and business.
