Building for Excellence
Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie has set forth the following goals for the Office of the Vice President for Capital Planning and Facilities:
Ensure that IU has the new and renovated physical facilities and infrastructure that are essential to achieve the Principles of Excellence, while recognizing the importance of historical stewardship, an environment that reflects IU’s values, and the imperative to meet future needs in accordance with long-term master plans.
Plan, create, maintain, and preserve beautiful and sustainable campuses to enhance excellence in teaching, learning, research, and community engagement.
Bicentennial Strategic Plan
The Bicentennial Strategic Plan for Indiana University, approved by the Board of Trustees at its December 2014 meeting, includes eight strategic priorities that will be addressed between now and IU’s bicentennial in 2020. Section 8 – Building Excellence – puts forth the action items and continuing priorities for Capital Planning and Facilities.
It is our goal to ensure that Indiana University’s buildings and grounds always provide a very special and unique environment for education and research.”
