The Law Fellow program provides invaluable legal development opportunities for new graduates from both the Maurer and McKinney Schools of Law.
In addition to handling their own projects, recent graduates have the opportunity to work directly with other OVPGC attorneys in handling a broad range of legal issues, including those related to academic and student affairs, athletics, contracts, compliance, copyright and intellectual property, data privacy and security, disabilities and disability-related accommodations, free speech, international programs, and labor and employment matters. Moreover, the Law Fellows assist in coordinating the University’s responses to subpoenas and open records requests, and draft position statements submitted to various state and federal agencies.
There are currently six Law Fellows (two in Indianapolis and four in Bloomington), with positions opening on a yearly basis in each location. Postings for these positions are listed on Symplicity and/or the “Jobs @ IU Online Application” (http://www.indiana.edu/~uhrs/jobs/) when they are available.
