Intensive Freshman Seminars
IFS offers incoming freshman students the chance to begin their academic careers at IU two weeks early, taking a three-credit course for which enrollment is limited to twenty students, and living together with their classmates for the duration of the program. Read more...
From pre-college to adult learning, research to volunteer opportunities, OVPUE programs and services offer outstanding academic experiences to all IU Bloomington students. Programs further high achievement among prospective students, encourage attendance by first-generation college students, enhance the freshman year through learning communities, and offer adult learners courses for credit or for fun. Tutoring, mentoring, and community engagement services encourage students to take learning beyond the classroom, while advising, testing, and funding programs provide guidance, assessment, career preparation, financial aid, and work experience.
