Instructions for printing lecture notes
It is wasteful to print out the lecture notes at a rate of one slide per page. It is possible for you to print several slides per page if you follow the instructions below. You might not be able to use these instructions if you do not have Powerpoint installed on your computer. If you need to install Powerpoint, go to http://iuware.indiana.edu.
Instructions for updated versions of Internet Explorer
1) Follow a link on the left side of the main page to a web browser version of the lecture page.
2) Click on “Edit with Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows” under “File”
3) After Powerpoint opens, select “Print” under “File”
4) When the print dialog box comes up, select “Handouts” under “Print What” and select desired number of slides (six is a good default)
Instructions for other web browsers (e.g. Mozilla Firefox or Netscape)
1) Use a link located at the bottom of the main page to download the Powerpoint file of the lecture of your choice. NOTE: these files are the same as the web browser versions you can click on in the blue "navigator bar."
2) Open the lecture file in Powerpoint
*PC platform*
1) Select 'Print' from the 'File' menu
2) Change 'Print What' from 'Slides' to 'Handouts'
3) Select desired number of slides per page (six is a good default)
4) Print
*Mac platform*
1) Select 'Print' from the 'File' menu
2) Click on bar labeled 'Copies and Pages.' This should reveal a pull down menu from which you should select "Microsoft Powerpoint."
3) At the label 'Print what,' the bar should say 'Slides.' Click on this to reveal another pull down menu with different options for slides per page (six is a good default)
