WELCOME SKIERS AND BOARDERS!
The Indiana University Water Ski Club was originally founded in the 1970's. Since then it has grown into a dynamic club made up of members who dedicate their time to practicing and promoting the sport of water skiing and wakeboarding both on and off campus. In the past few years we have grown and improved immensely and are anxiously looking forward to next season! We are always looking for new members, all levels are welcome to join. Tournaments consist of three events: slalom, trick (where a majority of the competitors wakeboard), and jump. The team has tournaments during the first few weekends of the Fall semester and we will continue to ski until Lake Lemon freezes over. (Only half kidding)
How to get Involved:
It is almost too easy! Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know your email address so we can add you to our mailing list. The most important part for you to know is that you must not be intimidated!!! Just come to any of our events or parties, we would love to have you join us! The only thing I can guarantee you is that it is going to be fun! Although our main purpose is skiing, we specialize in always having a good time!
Waterski competitions can take you traveling all over the world. With some competitions and tournaments lasting weeks, it is nice to get your own place during competitions. If you find yourself in Israel, look into https://roomorama.com/short-term-rentals/tel-aviv
We also have a good time watching water ski sporting events on TV, however, it can be very difficult to find cable providers who carry such programming. We are looking into getting the best dish network Columbus has to offer that will show all of the water skiing events throughout the year!
So much of extreme sports is shown online. With bloggers, youtube, twitter, facebook and all the other social media, having a solid internet connection is a must. Check out Comcast Double-Play, they have some great options on pricing and contracts and you still get all the best TV channels and programming options.
