What a gentleman Herman Wells was

Roxie Denison

I'm a stickler for manners, and I wanted to say what a gentleman Herman Wells was. I was leaving the Tudor Room at the same time he was, one evening out there, and we got down to the elevator about the same time. I stood back. I wanted him to be able to get on the elevator first, in his wheelchair. He stood back and would not get on that elevator until all the ladies were on there first. And I thought it was really something that impressed me.
