The biggest grin on his face
My father, Bo McMillin, was football coach at IU from 1934 to 1946. President Wells was always so supportive of Bo's teams, through the good years and the bad. My best memory is of the day in 1945 when IU beat Purdue to capture its first Big Ten title. Our house was full of people celebrating. The doorbell rang and when I answered there stood Dr. Wells with the biggest grin on his face. His arms reached out for Bo in a big bearhug. What a wonderful man!!!
