Awareness of every detail at IU
In the 1960s and '70s when I was head of the Halls of Residence Libraries, Dr. Wells would send me his own copies of the Economist, Paris Match, etc. and tell me to order them for the residence halls' libraries. His words were, "Barbara, I want the kids from Bean Blossom to know about the rest of the world."
It was his vision and awareness of every detail at IU that made him so great and so loved.
Professor Pratt and I had 30 precious years working with Dr. Wells.
