West European Studies Minor

Reichstag, Berlin, Germany.
Paul Pass.

A West European Studies minor is easily paired with majors in English, foreign languages, fine arts, history, political science, international studies, education, journalism, business, music, and others, and adds breadth to the major field area. These combinations of degrees provide an ideal background for careers in business, law, government, teaching, and public service, not to mention graduate school.

West European Studies offers an Undergraduate Minor which combines an interdisciplinary background with language training. Completing this course of study symbolizes a student's in-depth knowledge of Western Europe. Students planning careers in government, international business or academia may tailor the program to their needs and interests. Students who have attended an IU Overseas Studies Program in Western Europe may already have met some or many of the Minor requirements. The West European Studies Minor complements majors in Political Science, History, Business, Journalism, Languages and Literature, Comparative Literature, English, Anthropology, Communication and Culture, and may other disciplines.

Official requirements and acceptable courses are outlined in the College Bulletin.
