WEST will contribute up to $1000 to multidisciplinary faculty groups (comprised of at least two disciplines) that are interested in organizing a lecture series on a topic relating to Western Europe. Applications should contain a 1-page statement of intellectual motivation and goals of the series, and a list of potential speakers. The award may be used to secure funds from other lecture fund sources on campus, including but not limited to: departments and schools, Horizons of Knowledge, International Programs, and Dean of Faculties. The funds may be used to cover domestic travel, lodging, venue, and honoraria for American citizens, permanent U. S. residents, or international scholars with J-1 visas.

CO-SPONSOR LECTURE FUND

WEST will offer small awards to co-sponsor lectures organized by IU departments and faculty and to bring lecturers to campus to talk on topics related to Western Europe. Advertising materials should mention co-sponsorship by WEST. These funds will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and will normally not exceed $100.
