Workshop Library Database
The Workshop Research Library maintains a database which contains over 69,000 records. The database includes entires for articles and chapters in edited books, as well as books and periodicals. The database contains all items held by the WRL as well as items held by other libraries at IU and around the world related to common pool resources. For instruction on how to use the database, please consult our database tutorial.
Workshop Library Collections
- Books: Located on the shelves in the Library. Items shelved by author's or editor's last name. This is the first line of the items entry in the Library Database
- Books--Series: Kept in room 301 in 513 N. Park. Please see a library staff member for access.
- Reprint Files: Housed in the filing cabinets along the walls in the south side of the library.
- Serials Shelves: located on the shelves in the north-east side of the library. Shelved by journal title.
- Serials Files: Kept in files in the technical service area of the library. Please see a library staff member for access
- Urban Collection: Located in the Seminar Room in 513 N. Park. Books are shelved alphabetically by title while Urban Reprints are filed by author's last name.
- Reference: Located just inside the door of the library. These items do not circulate.
- Reserves: On the shelves on the north-west side of the library.
- Colloquium Room: Workshop dissertations are kept on a shelf just inside the colloquium room in 513 N. Park.
- Park 2: Items in this collection are in our storage space in Park 2. Please see a staff member for access.
Workshop Library Circulation Policies
Books and Reprint Files:Items borrowed must be returned by the end of the semester during which they were checked out. Items may be renewed for a maximum of one semester or two summer sessions.

Journals, reference materials and dissertations do not circulate. They are for use in the library only. Materials on reserve may be checked out for 3 hours (or overnight if checked out after 3:00pm).
TO BORROW AN ITEM, PLEASE FILL OUT ONE CARD PER ITEM WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
- Author of the article or book
- Title of the article or book
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Today's date
PLEASE LEAVE THE CARD IN THE CHECKOUT BOX LOCATED IN THE LIBRARY NEXT TO THE MAIN PUBLIC COMPUTER. RETURNED ITEMS ARE TO BE LEFT IN THE RETURNS BOX NEXT TO THE CHECKOUT BOX.
