Programs in the study of women and the role of gender in society are offered at all eight campuses, each of which
offers unique classes, speakers, visitors, competitions, a jointly
held annual spring undergraduate student conference, and a welcoming
atmosphere for all students and members of the university community.
Whether you’re a prospective student, current undergrad, graduate
student, alum, or university friend wondering about ways to get
involved and to help support women’s initiatives at Indiana
University, we invite you to explore what IU has to offer.
Women’s Studies and Gender Studies offer exciting interdisciplinary
courses that concentrate on the position of women and men across
many cultures. Courses explore issues related to women and gender
across academic disciplines, examining such topics as race and
class, business and politics, health, the body, sexuality, developing
societies, the arts, academic institutions and knowledge, sports
and leisure, law, and the media.
