The Nationally-Ranked Entrepreneurship Program at Indiana University was founded in 1989, although courses in entrepreneurship were introduced at Indiana University in 1959. Indiana University is proud of its premier Entrepreneurship Program within the nationally renowned Management Department at the Kelley School of Business. Having developed one of the world’s largest entrepreneurship faculties with some the world’s most recognized entrepreneurship thought leaders from departments in Management, Finance, Marketing in the Kelley School of Business, as well as the School of Public & Environmental Affairs, Indiana University offers one of the most comprehensive entrepreneurship curriculums at the PhD. MBA, and undergraduate levels, as well as an Entrepreneurship Academy for MBA students.

Combining a great curriculum with a world class Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation that has offices in the Kelley School of Business, the Indiana University Medical School, the Indiana University School of Law, the Indiana College of Arts & Sciences, as well as affiliations with the IU School of Music, and the School of Informatics, our programs provide students with a wide range of classroom and experiential opportunities to discover and develop the “entrepreneurial perspective” throughout the entire campus. The Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation is the focal point for all entrepreneurship activities emanating from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Bloomington.

The academic programs have earned national recognition including:  National Model MBA in Entrepreneurship by the US Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship; #1 Undergraduate (public institution) and #1 Graduate ranking (public institution) for entrepreneurship in U.S. News & World Report; #4 national program ranking in Entrepreneur magazine; as well as the National Model Entrepreneurship Program at the PhD level.
