LABS (10 or 20 points)
There are two types of labs assigned throughout the semester. Your PDF instruction sheet will inform you of the point value.
10 point assignments
----- Assets must be present
----- Specific skill must be employed
----- Project saved properly
20 point assignments
Above criteria plus the following:

----- inclusion of purposeful media
----- creative treatment
MID-TERM (40 points)
Questions are multiple choice and are on reading assignments / lectures from the first 10 weeks of class. You may use your textbook or class notes. The calendar lists objectives for your reading. Use this collective list as your study guide.
PROJECT (100 points)
----- Inclusion of mixed media that supports thesis statement
----- Demonstrate proficiency of lab skills in final project.
----- Properly edited audio
----- Audio integration supports emotional context or content
----- Innovative connection and interface of media
----- Correctly saved
PROJECT PLAN (50 points)
----- Typed plan includes a cover sheet, summary of project, target audience description, description of sound integration, and a visual to illuminate special characteristics of the production. Include a list of assets you plan to use in your project
PRESENTATION / OPEN LABS (41 points)
Each open lab is worth 1 point for a total of 6 points. Each open lab you do not attend equals 0 points for that day. Students must attend at least 3 open labs and show your work in progress.
Each day you are present for final presentations is worth 5 points.
FINAL PROJECT XTRAS (25 points):
---- Citations (5 points)
Include a citation list of all sources referenced in your project. If you used your own media solely, you still need to fill out a citation form with this stated.
---- Peer Review (5 points)
Have a peer complete this on-line form to provide feedback on your nearly completed final project. This should be completed in the last two weeks of class.
---- Fair Use Act (5 points)
Complete this quick checklist to see if you qualify for fair use act protection. I keep these on file for 5 years.
---- Journal (10 points)
Submit a one page reflective statement of your overall class experience and some insight into the time spent on your final project.
PARTICIPATION (70 points)
Class exercises are worth 10 points each. This cumulative score will indicate your overall attendance and participation during class activities.
