A Ph.D. in Health Behavior includes research in a variety of subjects from the wide discipline of applied health science. This nationally recognized program prepares graduates to conduct research in the promotion of healthy outcomes, as well as preventing health problems. Courses immerse students in program planning, development, and evaluation; health policy management; and investigating human behavior related to nutrition, exercise, drug use, family wellness, contagious disease, aging, sexuality, and other areas. Graduates might pursue careers in research, higher education, or health administration.
