Master of Science in International Studies

About

Whether you studied international studies in college or majored in a completely different field, a master's degree in international studies will provide you with a solid grounding to work in the global arena.

As a graduate student in international studies at the Hamilton Lugar School, you'll be trained to analyze global issues through both a humanities and a social science perspective. You'll hone skills in critical reasoning and writing and have the opportunity to learn languages in highly regarded programs and work with renowned faculty.

The M.S. in International Studies prepares students for careers in both the private and public sectors, including international business and both national and global governing institutions or NGOs.

The program focuses on using data to address issues in international studies. Examples include the economics of development or quantitative approaches to political analysis. Students learn quantitative methods and analysis and take at least one graduate-level economics course.
