Retrieve and Validate Certificates Earned in 2016 or Later*

Instructors can verify that a Certificate is valid by entering unique information provided by the student. Students can do likewise.

Both instructors and students can view unique Certificates earned in 2016 or later, as well as print and e-mail them.

Next: Validate a Certificate earned by passing a test in 2016 or later

Certificates earned before 2016 can no longer be validated. To get a new Certificate, pass a new test. On Jan. 2, 2016, we introduced newly designed plagiarism tutorials and updated test item inventories (see improvements).

People who report completion of most or all of the new tutorials (watch video cases and demonstrations; answer practice test questions with corrective feedback, and pass practice tests; and who reflect on how they can use what they have learned) are 3-5 times more likely to pass a test, when compared with those who do not. We know this through summary results from thousands of users who answer questions on the survey about which parts of tutorials they completed, right before they take a Certification Test, and who then either pass or don't pass.
