Courtney “Coco” Sullivan received the 2015 Fox Glen Research and Education Fund Award for her paper on fungal endophyte biodiversity. This was based on research she did in Distinguished Professor Keith Clay’s lab. Coco graduated this spring with a B.S. in Biology with High Distinction and Departmental Honors, a minor in chemistry and psychology, and a certificate in animal behavior. She has been a molecular biology undergraduate teaching assistant for Doctors Bettina Kehoe and Melissa Konkol. Coco was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honorary Society, was a IU Founders Scholar, and received a Hutton Honors Research Grant and Hutton Honors College Thesis Award. She plans to take a gap year in order to gain more experience in research, and then apply to medical school to become a doctor.
