What happens if I do not comply with the University's financial conflicts policy?

Non-compliance with the University’s financial conflicts policy will be addressed under applicable policies. Research funding and study review will be delayed when there is a failure to file a Research-Related Financial Interest Disclosure form by any Investigators responsible for the design, conduct or reporting of the project, study or clinical trial. NIH proposals will not be submitted until all Investigators have completed an annual Research-Related Financial Interest Disclosure. NIH award funds will be frozen until all Investigators have not only completed a Research-Related Financial Interest Disclosure, but have had any Significant Financial Interests reviewed by the COI Committee. In addition, a retrospective review may need to be conducted to determine if any bias is present on NIH-funded projects.
