Clay Thomas

In 2009, I left my home state of Indiana for Chapman University in Orange, California, only to return four years later with Bachelor's Degrees in Sociology and French. At IU, my current research project hopes to reinvigorate discussions of professions and professionalism within medical sociology. Specifically, I investigate how nurses' educational backgrounds predict communication with physicians and the relative statuses between the two groups of healthcare professionals. When not doing scholarly things, I enjoy watching and talking about movies, playing loads of disc golf, traveling, and cooking and dining with friends.
