Jude: Hey, yo! My name is Jude Gussman; I am a senior studying computer science, mathematics, and astronomy. I knew IU was the one when I began research in the astronomy department. It felt like a home away from home.

[VIDEO: Jude stands in front of the Kirkwood Observatory.]

Coolest things I've done at IU socially is help at Kirkwood Observatory's open house night, where the public can come and see different celestial objects. One of life's great delights is to show someone some beautiful object that they've never seen before in their life. One of the coolest things I’ve done academically is go to Tucson, Arizona, with my observational astronomy class to observe different galaxies with the 1.9 meter telescope.

No matter what part of my academic journey I was on, I always got so much support from the faculty and staff.

Go IU!
